Well, it’s time to finish critiquing the Big Three desktop operating systems. I’ve already critiqued Windows and Mac, and now I have a few comments about Ubuntu and Linux in general.

It’s been determined that the most addictive games are those that are easy to learn but hard to master. In the OS world, that would be Windows. While not addictive to most geeks, it is hard to argue with its popular (if not critical) success. Let’s take a deeper look at the most prolific operating system in the world.

Though Ted Nelson originally said this about DOS, it still applies to Microsoft’s modern products.
“Using [Windows] is like juggling with straight razors. Using a Mac is like shaving with a bowling pin.”
